Power.
All of your electronic devices need it.
So, why not invest in a $3,000 power cable from Teac?
Oh, that's right, $20 per centimeter is ridiculous.
Teac Esoteric Corporation will release two new models as part of the high-class, stress-free, 8N class copper-using power cables, on July 29th. The price of the upper level model "8N-PC8100," with a 1.5m length, is 315,000 yen, and the lower level "8N-PC8000 STARQUAD" also at 1.5m is 210,000 yen. only 250 cables of each type will be produced.
This cable series uses stress-free 8N class copper from Nichikou Metallics, and was jointly developed by Esoteric Company, Acro Japan, and Koyonagide Electric Firm.
Stress-free 8N class copper uses a manufacturing process similar to that of semiconductors, and it has a purity of over 99.999999%. The ability of the atoms to lineup without being bent allows these cables to be called "stress-free."
Since the production of 8N class copper is extremely difficult, Nichikou Metallics has said that the products produced this time around will be the last.
The upper level 8N-PC8100 uses 0.37φ x 50 strands x 3 stress-free 8N class copper. Its structure uses a triple wick twist, and the cable has a diameter of 16mm ±0.3mm. The insulation is polyolefin resin. The internal sheath uses this resin coated with a newly created amorphous powder. UV Polyutherane is used for the skin.
A plug newly developed by Koyonagide Electric Firm is used, and it is made entirely of a special phosphorous bronze (besides the iron contacts). To finish it off, it uses a 24K gold plating and Palladium plating. On the connector, the special resin gradually decreases - this is to disperse oscillation by using slits, aluminium rings, and a carbon cabler composite sleeve. This supresses unwanted vibration.
Furthermore, although the cable is 1.5m, special extensions can be ordered. They cost 73,500 yen per 50 centimeters.
The 8N-PC8000 STARQUAD features 0.26φ x 19 x 3 stress free 8N class copper as a conductor. It is arranged in the STARQUAD twist pattern, said to prevent against noise from power and be easy on the SN ratio.
The plug is the same as the 8N-PC8100. Its cable length is 1.5m, and extensions cost 42,000 yen per 50 cm.
