I reported o­n Corega's 45x CF cards not even a week ago, and Green House today answers back with 80x cards.
12MB/sec. Sheesh. They go up to 6GB capacities as well.

Green House Corporation will begin releasing the "GH-CF DX" series of CF cards supporting an 80x (12MB/sec) transfer speed, in the back part of July. They are Open Price.

The 512MB model can read up to 12MB/sec, in measurements by Green House, and coming from the 150KB/sec standard, this means the cards are the world's fastest, at 80x.

In the lineup are 256MB, 512MB, 1GB, 2GB, 4GB, and 6GB cards. The size of the 6GB is CF Type2, while the others are CF Type1.

Respective prices of the units are 9,980 yen, 19,800 yen, 39,800 yen, 79,800 yen, 159,800 yen, and 598,000 yen.

Also included is a function to prevent against the writing of data to a concentrated area (which would lead to faster deterioration), as well as ECC error correction.

These cards are intended mainly for use in digital cameras; particularly high end professional level o­nes. Since taking panoramic images puts a large stress o­n the write speed from multiple images, this represents an advancement in the speed of CF as a whole.
