Personally, I like the iDuck more - but hey, if Gundam is your thing, these new USB memory devices from IO Data should be right up your alley.

IO Data Device Corporation will begin releasing the "Gundam EasyDisk" series of USB memory devices that feature a "Mobile Suit Gundam" design on the body, in the back part of September. The price is Open Price.

From the same series released in August of 2003, the memory has been expanded to 128MB, and some of the models now support USB 2.0. Supported operating systems are Windows 98, ME, 2000, XP, as well as Mac OS 9 ~ 9.2, and Mac OS X 10.1 ~ 10.3.4. They operate off of bus power.

There are 4 models supporting USB 2.0 are the "Gundam RX-78-2," "Zeong MSN-02," "Gelgoog Commander Type MS-14S," and "Z'Gok Commander Type MSM-07S." Compared with currently existing models, they are also three times faster. The estimated price of all these models will be 5,980 yen.

Six models will support USB 1.1 only - "Guntank RX-75," "Guncannon RX-77," "GM RGM-79," "Gouf MS-07B," "Elmeth MAN-08," and finally the "Gyan YMS-15." The estimated retail price of these models is around 4,980 yen each.

Also included are goodies such as when the memory is inserted into the USB port on a PC, the wallpaper will change to an original Gundam wallpaper, and screensavers featuring the same characters as designed on the devices can be used.

The size of the body is 24 x 82 x 17.6mm (W x D x H), and it has a weight of 20g.
