It's not the official name of this product, but it's all I could think of the first time I saw it.
A seemingly normal webcam, but the twist is its 310mm flexible arm. You'll want to see the image for this one.
Alpha Data will release the "AD-CK30," a web camera with a flexible arm, in the back part of July. The maker's reference price is 2,850 yen.
The AD-K30 is a web camera with a 350,000 pixel CMOS image sensor. Images are recorded at 640 x 480 pixels, and at a framerate of 15fps; it also has a 10cm photographing distance making macro recording possible. While the camera does use a USB 1.1 port, it has a special feature to connect the 310mm flexible arm directly to the USB port itself; in other words, the camera can be freely put in a position with just the cable. A stand with a 1.35m USB cable is also included, so that the camera can be stood up on a desktop. Since the stand can also connect to other USB devices, it can be used as a USB extension cable.
The body size, for the camera section, is 18 x 18 x 40mm (W x D x H), and it has a weight of 40g; the size and weight of the stand is 140 x 140 x 40mm (W x D x H) at a weight of 120g. Supported operating systems are Windows XP, 2000, and ME.
