Apparently this is the same card that they have in their newer "Airboard" wireless TV.
Sony will release the "SWU-AGK152M" wireless LAN module conforming to IEEE 802.11a/b/g standards in the back part of July. The sample price is 35,000 yen.
The SWU-AGK152M is a wireless LAN module that supports Mini PCI Standard 1.0, and is currently used in the "Airboard LF-X1" wireless LCD TV offered by the same company. Apart from supporting a QoS function that will maintain the preferred use of wireless LAN in areas where it is available, it also features "diversity technology" developed by Sony.
On the security side, 64 and 128bit WEP and WPA are planned on being supported. The size of the main body is 59.6 x 50.7 x 3.6mm, and it has a weight of about 12g.
