Hitachi Manufacturing will release a digital surveillance recorder [DS-F221] capabale of connecting 9 cameras
and has a 320 GB hard drive, along with the drive unit for the cameras [VK-AC950] on Jan 20th.
Hitachi Manufacturing will release a digital surveillance recorder [DS-F221] capabale of connecting 9 cameras
and has a 320 GB hard drive, along with the drive unit for the cameras [VK-AC950] on Jan 20th. Another product, the [DS-F321] with a 360 GB HDD capable of connecting 16 cameras on Feb 10th 2004. The price of the DS-F221 is 680,000 yen, the VK-AC950 is 180,000 yen, and the DS-F321 is 850,000 yen.
Both of the companies models have efficient image compression which allows it to record 1TB of data. In addition to meeting the needs of financial institutions and retailers to enable them
to be operated without a person on duty, all models will also work with convenience store ATMs, all types of 24-7 businesses, and payed parking lots.
At the BASIC image quality setting with a recording interval of two frames per second, the DS-F is a digital surveillance camera capable of recording about 1 month of video. Compared to the previous DS-H200's 1 month, this is an extremely high level of compression. It is possible to select from the SUPER FINE HIGH STANDARD image quality of 704x480dot, from the 4th stage BASIC 352x240 dot to the recording interval of .03~10seconds 14th stage.
The observation screen, depending on the number of cameras, can be divided in up to 16 different screens (The F22 supports 10 screens). In addition, the movement of the people and objects in the image can be outlined and their direction of movement detected. Image recording and image switching can be linked with the included motion detecting feature. Also, the units support mirroring of their two internal hard drives. One ethernet port is included, and with a separately sold PC and DSHNET3Ver2.0 software remote monitoring and remote device control is also possible.
