Going that fast, it would take all of 85 seconds to fill a 512MB card.
Green House Corporation will release the "GH-SDC~ME Series," SD cards with a 6MB/sec transfer speed, in the middle part of June. They are Open Price.
The capacities to be available are 32, 64, 128, 256, and 512MB, and the estimated retail prices for the respective cards are 2,500 yen, 4,200 yen, 6,300 yen, 10,500 yen, and 24,000 yen.
Specifications are the same throughout all of the cards, and they all conform to the SD Memory Card Specification Ver 1.01 and SDMI (Secure Digital Music Initiative) standards. The operating voltage is from 2.7 ~ 3.6V, and the consumed electrical current is 100mA(max). Operating temperatures are from -25 degrees Celsius ~ 85 degrees Celsius, and from 25% ~ 85% humidity.
They have a three year warranty. A pocket-sized hard case is included.
