I guess if I used Photoshop I'd understand the value of a screen supporting this "Adobe RGB."
This is just a module, mind you - not an actual screen. But the screen is the easy part.
The module supports 1600 x 1200 (UXGA).

NEC LCD Technologies announced o­n the 25th that they have developed a 21.3" TFT LCD module supporting Adobe RGB. It is o­n display at the "SID2004 (Society for Information Display)" exhibition going o­n from May 23rd until the 28th in Seattle.

Rather than using a cold cathode ray tube backlight as used until now, the module supports Adobe RGB by using a RGB primary color LED array. This is said to make it possible for designers and other "color users" to get an accurate representation of their images' colors o­n the screen, to match what their images will look like when printed out.

Also, using the "Super Advanced-Super Fine TFT (SA-SFT)" technology that enhances the transmission efficiency, NEC has said that they were able to suppress gamma problems such as the same colors appearing at different brightnesses and "color turning."

The display resolution is UXGA (1600 x 1200), and it can display up to 16,770,000 colors. The brightness is 250cd/m². The contrast ratio is 450:1 and the viewing angle is 170 degrees. The interface is a 2 port LVDS RGB Brightness signal.
