Considering the size of this player, an internal speaker is pretty impressive. It's like a boombox, except 500 times smaller!
Green House Corporation will add the "GH-KANA-X3-256," a 256MB portable MP3/WMA player, to their "Kana-X3" line. The official price is Open Price. The direct sale price is 22,890 yen.
This is a portable memory audio player that supports the playback of MP3 and WMA. It features an internal 70mW amplifier and monaural speaker. Also, it features voice recording to the MP3 format, and furnishes a FM tuner. The external dimensions are 84 x 29.5 x 17.7mm (W x D x H), and the weight is 34.5g (body only).
It connects to the PC via a USB 1.1 connection. It can be used under Windows 98 SE, ME, 2000, and XP, and supports Storage Class. Using a AAA battery, the playback time is 9 hours during continuous usage.
Supported bitrates are for MP3, 8kbps - 320kbps, and WMA 32kbps - 192kbps. It also supports the display of Japanese ID3 tags. The voice recorder function can record a maximum of 530 minutes, and it can also record FM transmissions.
Other features on this model that were not on the 128MB model include the output of FM radio to an external speaker, and the addition of a "User" mode in the equalizer function.
