Or, more specifically, you can connect to 802.11b an utilize the features of wireless internet access.

NTT DoCoMo presented their development of a new cellular phone unit supporting both FOMA and wireless LAN standards.

Presented this time was a dual-network (FOMA and 802.11b) supporting cellular phone. Not just a card-type transfer device, the phone is a folding-type. When in areas supporting either FOMA or wireless LAN, using simultaneous data transfer, one can use the phone in, for example, the following situation: when outside, use the FOMA network, and when in the office, use the wireless LAN network to utilize voice services and access the corporate intranet.

The size is 103 x 53 x 30 mm ( H x W x D ), with a weight of 123g. Though the base unit is from NEC, they've said "we've finally reached the 'we've developed it' stage," since the other specifications are yet to be clear. When comparing with the current FOMA model "N2102V," this unit has only slight increases in width, thickness, and weight.

NEC is shooting for a Spring 2004 commercialization of the product.
