Yamaha has announced that they will sell 50 units of a black version of their 7.1ch amplifier, the "DSP-AX2400." They will also sell 80 units of a black "Cinema Station."

Interested parties should get to it, because as you can see, these are extremely limited in quantity.

Yamaha will sell 50 units of a limited edition "DSP-AX2400 Black Version" 7.1ch amp on their direct sale website, "Y Direct" beginning in the back part of March. The price is 126,000 yen (including tax).

Also, they will begin selling 80 units of the "Cinema Station Original Black Version" in the back part of April. The cost for this is 73,500 yen (including tax). Reservations are already being taken at Y Direct.

The "DSP-AX2400 Black Version" is just that - a black version of the "DSP-AX2400" released in October 2003. Other than the body color, the specifications are the same as the AX2400. It has a rated output of 120Wx7ch. It includes the automatic sound placement correction function, "YPAO," and supports formats such as Dolby Progressive IIx.

The "Cinema Station Original Black Version" is an original product, combining the "DVX-S120" home theater system and "NS-P430" 5.1ch speaker package, and putting a black coating on them.

The DVX-S120 is a home theater system that integrates a DVD player and 5ch digital amp in one unit. It was release in September 2003. Although it originally included a center/front/rear 5cm diameter full range speaker set and active subwoofer using A-YST, the DVX-S120 this time around comes packaged with NS-P430 speaker system as released in December 2002.

The DVX-S120 currently sells around 50,000 yen at wholesale outlets, and the NS-P430 currently sells for around 30,000 yen.

Finally, the first 30 customers to purchase the "Cinema Station Original Black Version" will receive two supported stands, "SPS-10MMB" for free.
