Don't be alarmed, T-Mobile USA users - Sharp is releasing the phone for T-Mobile in Germany. T-Mobile, for those of you who don't know, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom.
After vodafone in England, this represents the second Sharp phone in Europe.
Come to think of it, Sharp doesn't even offer phones in the USA, do they?

Sharp presented o­n the 17th at a CeBIT press conference that they will release a GSM compatible phone, the "TM 100," for T-Mobile. Other than a unit for England's vodafone, this represents the first offering by the company in Europe.

The "TM 100," as announced by Sharp, is a GSM unit aimed at Germany's T-Mobile users. Sharp has not clarified the detailed specifications, nor have they stated any time period for its entry into the market. The display part of the body slides up, revealing the keys, giving the phone a square-like design.

The display is a 2.2 inch, 240 x 320 pixel (QVGA), 260,000 color CG silicon LCD. The internal camera can record VGA size still images. It can also record movies, and pictures for e-mail.

Other pictures displayed at the conference include those of NTT DoCoMo's "SH505i" phone, vodafone's "V601SH," and vodafone England's "GX30," as well as pictures of the 2MP CCD module.
