Those of you who do not have access to USB (or other common Bluetooth interface) can now use your serial port to connect to your devices.
CF Company Corporation will release the "Cordless Serial Adapter" (CSA) made by Socket Communications, which is a Bluetooth adapter that connects to a RS-232C port, on March 17th. It is officially Open Price, but indicators suggest it should cost around 22,100 yen.
Supported operating systems are Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000, and XP.
This is a Bluetooth 1.1 adapter that is connected to a PC's 9-pin serial port. It can connect to devices supporting Bluetooth such as PDAs, notebook computers, cellular phones, as well as devices such as other PCs that use a CSA adapter. Supported protocols are General Access, Service Discovery, and Serial Port. Power is suppplied from the RS-232C port or AC adapter.
