NH Japan (part of the Harilela Group, a family of hotel owners...don't ask me how NHJ got involved) will be releasing 4 different MP3/WMA/OGG players in the V@MP iOPS-F300 series - 128mb, 256mb, 512mb, and 1024mb versions of the player with an organic EL display.

NHJ will release the V@MP iOPS-F300 series of silicon audio players with an organic EL display in the middle of March. The internal memories of the four models are 128, 256, 512, and 1024MB, and the price for all players is "Open Price."

Indicators suggest the price for the 128MB model, the "F312," will be around 19,800 yen, and the 256MB model, the "F325" around 24,800 yen. The body color of the 128MB is silver, the 256MB model white, the 512MB model black, and the 1GB model titanium. Supported operating systems are Windows 98, SE, ME, 2000, XP, Mac OS 9.2, and Mac OS X.



The player has a 96 x 64 dot organic EL display with 2 colors (blue/orange) at 16 different grades. Japanese, English, Korean, and Chinese (Traditional/Simplified) display is supported, as well as ID3 tags.



MP3, WMA, and OGG playback is all possible, and the supported bitrates of MP3 is 8 ~ 320kbps, WMA 32 ~ 192kbps, and Ogg Vorbis 44(Q1) ~ 500(Q10)kbps. The playback frequency range is 20Hz ~ 20kHz, and the S/N ratio is 95dB.

Also featured is a 6 mode equalizer with settings such as "Classic" and "Jazz," as well as a user EQ, and SRS WOW effects. Apart from a headphone output, the player is also equipped with a line input, and can record to MP3. Finally, it has the ability to record voice to the MP3 format, and includes an FM tuner. It also supports recording of FM radio.

Data transfer is achieved via a USB connection from the PC, which is also convienient as USB storage.  The battery is an internal Lithium Ion, and constant playback time is 15 hours. The external dimensions are 79.5 x 31 x 14.8mm (W x D x H), and it weighs about 45g.
