FujiFilm is set to release 8x DVD-R media in March. There are five color variations available.

FujiFilm Corporation will release DVD-R media that supports 8x writing o­n March 10th. The price is officially "Open Price."

However, indicators suggest that the single disc package "DDR47D" will cost around 600 yen, the 5 disc color mix pack "DDR47D x 5 8x" will be around 2,000 yen, and the 10 disc color mix (2 media of each color) "DDR47D x 10 8x" will cost around 4,000 yen.

This is an 8x write supporting DVD-R media. Using a high precision stamping process and highly sensetive coloring, even at 8x the medium "has excellent recording characteristics."

The color mix is the following 5 colors: Silky Silver, Silky Gold, Bronze Gold, Aqua Mint Blue, and Emerald Black. The 5 disc pack contains o­ne of each color, and the 10 disc pack contains 2 of each color.

The basic single disc pack comes with a 10mm case. The color mix packages are shipped with 5mm cases.
