Willcom has announced a new blog service for their "full browser" handsets. Apparently the Sharp W-ZERO3 isn't supported yet, but it's on the horizon.

From March 14th, Willcom will offer their "W+BLOG" blog service, oriented towards handsets from the company that contain a full browser. There is no charge to use the service. The service can be used for only the costs of communication charges.

This is a blog service that can be handled from launching a blog, submitting articles with images, to reading, all from a Willcom handset with a full browser. Communities can also be created, and these communities can be open to anyone or on an invitation-only basis.

The service also has functions such as adding favorite blogs and bloggers, a mail function within W+BLOG, and a tracking feature for keeping track of visitors. Profiles and blogs can be set to public or private, and even if public is selected, users can choose between full public or public only within one's own "My Blogger" list.

All full browser handsets besides Sharp's "W-ZERO3" are supported. The company plans to add support for the W-ZERO3 and PCs in the future. To register to use the service, access http://w-blog.jp using a Willcom handset.
