Details of Accident
I went to my parents' house for Obon last year. I was just relaxing, something I hadn't done in a long time, when I decided to go home. As I casually glanced over at the PC my mother has and uses o­n her table, the LCD was broken. "It was fine a second ago," I said as I looked next to it, and there was my child (1 year old) with a shit eating grin o­n his face as he played atop the table. It seems he was standing o­n the laptop.

Repair Costs
Buying a new PC cost about 110,000 yen. I was going to reimburse my mother ford it, but she wouldn't accept it, so my personal cost was zero yen.

More from the Contributor
I earnestly apologized to my mother and wanted to put it in for repairs, but it seemed as though she had already purchased a new machine. When I went home at New Years', I asked her about the machine; it was just sitting there in the closet. It now is serving its final years as a web camera server at my house.
