-W41S
The W41CS is a CDMA 1XWIN handset from Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications with a microphone-equipped music controller for music enjoyment. It will go on sale in late January.
The handset supports the new LISMO (au LISTEN MOBILE SERVICE) music service and can display a slideshow of images while music is playing. A microphone-equipped controller is included in the package for control of music playback and FM radio operations. An "Audio Engine" sound chip, "DVX" virtual sound system and stereo speakers are also installed. The MemoryStick Duo slot supports MemoryStick PRO Duo cards up to 2GB in size. The handset does not provide for SonicStage.
The W41S is the first handset from Sony Ericsson to include a "PC Site Viewer" for browsing full websites. In addition to features such as "Small Screen Display" that we will automatically re-render websites for the handset, a website section can also be displayed as the standby screen and auto-updated.
The design closely mirrors that of the W21S with the hinge section rising from the keypad base.
The W41S is 49 x 99 x 26 mm in size and weighs approximately 119 grams. The maximum standby and talk times are 200 hours and 250 minutes respectively. Three colours named after precious stones - Platina Silver, Azlite Blue and Pearl White, - are available.
