Kyocera's "W41K" clamshell handset is for CDMA 1X WIN, and features a 3.17MP cmaera with stabilizaton and autofocus functions. It is scheduled for release mid-February.

The camera has a CMOS sensor with an effective 3.17MP. It supports autofocus and stabilization. This stabilization is done with software processing. Because of this processing, the maximum size for sill images is a bit smaller than the effective MP of the camera; it is 3MP, bringing the maximum resolution to 2000 x 1500 dots. This stabilization can be turned off, but the maximum image size will remain the same. "Photoshop Album 3.0 Mini" is included for managing the photographs on a PC.

The phone supports the "au LISTEN MOBILE SERVICE" for audio. It has the au-common "au Music Player" audio playback function, and includes "au Music Port" for PCs that can rip and transfer songs to the phone. SD-Audio is not support.

Included in the recharging stand is a one-channel subwoofer. When the handset is placed in its recharging stand and audio is played, low frequencies will come from the subwoofer of the recharging stand, and other frequenies will come from the stereo speakers of the handset. The package also includes a stereo earphone adapter that is equipped with a microphone. This adapter can be used as a remote for the audio playback functionality, and has buttons for volume adjustment, skipping tracks, play/pause, and so on. While in a BREW appli, this remote can control audio playback functions for background music.

Each color variation has a glossy coating. The external display and LED illumination are covered by a half-mirror panel. Organic EL is used for the external display, and it will display the track name of audio that is currently being played.

The device's screen is a 2.4" QVGA (240 x 320) Mobile ASV LCD with 260,000 colors, and the subdisplay is a 0.9" organic EL with 96 x 64 dots. miniSD is supported as external memory, and cards up to 1GB are supported. The 45MB of data folder capacity are shared with the BREW saving area, and the BREW version is 3.1. Advanced Wnn V2 is used as the Japanese input system. It has an infrared communication function, which can be used for data exchange and as a TV remote controller.

Inside is an electronic compass, and "Head Up" function can be used with EZ Navi Walker. Also supported is the "Keitai Update" for updating the software. Functions common to Spring WIN handsets are supported, such as Input with Voice for EZ Navi Walker and Hello Messenger. It does not have the text-to-speech function as the W31K does.

The size is 51 x 106 x 22mm, and it weighs 127g. The continuous idle time is 290 hours, and talk time 180 minutes. Glittery Red, Sparkling Silver, and Bezel Black will be the available body colors.
