We've previously reported on this device from Quixun, but more details are coming in, so we though we'd share.

Quixun released the "lipii Beam Station (PA-1LBS)," an infrared USB interface for using a mobile phone as a remote control for a PC. Its price is 1,980 yen.

The PA-1LBS is an infrared receiver unit that supports connection via USB, and when used with mobile phones that support the proprietary "Lipii Appli" i-Appli, allows the mobile phone to act as a remote controller for the PC. All FOMA handsets that have infrared functionality in the 902i, 901i, 900i, 701i, and 700i series support Lipii Appli (iS, iD, iC, iG, and iV models included).

"lipii Living Browser," a browser based on "Sleipnir Version 2" from Fenrir and intended to be used in living rooms, is available for download free of charge as support software.

The body size is 70 x 65 x 30mm (W x D x H). Supported operating systems are Windows Me, 2000 Professional, and Windows CE.
