Camera lens mysteriously disappeared?

Victim
Satou of Kanagawa Prefecture
Scene of Accident
Athletic meet of nursery school
Broken Item
Olympus CAMEDIA C-2000ZOOM
Details of Accident
Since it was the first "real" athletic meet of the nursery school our child attends, my wife enthusiastically purchased a camera. But when as soon as we arrived at the event, my wife said, "hey, look at this" and handed over the camera which had no lens. Maybe it was hit by something, or maybe it hit someone, or was taken off...
Repair Costs
Price a new camera minus trade-in is 3,000 yen
More from the Contributor
To get back at my wife who laughed at me earlier for catching chicken pox from our child at my age, I laughed my ass off at her this time. She gave up and is currently looking for a new model. Since the camera was going to go in the trash, I've remodeled it to be a pinhole camera. This produces some surprising results, even though there isn't a lens.
