Fujitsu has announced a number of new Tablet PCs. There are two new models in the "Lifebook" series, and three new models in the "Stylistic" series.

Fujitsu Corporation announced o­n the 13th the "FMV-T8210" and "FMV-P8210" FMV-LIFEBOOK series of convertible Tablet PCs, and the "TB12/B," "TB12/S," and "TB12/R" models in the pure Tablet PC series called "FMV-STLISTIC."

The FMV-P8210 is a Tablet PC that features an 8.9" widescreen SVGA (1024 x 600) LCD. Since the LCD portion can rotate, the system is said to be convertible -- you'll be able to use keyboard input or pen input depending o­n the circumstances. The pressure-sensitive LCD means that not o­nly can you input signals with a pen, you can also use your finger. It also features an ultra-low power Pentium M 753 processor, integrated IEEE 802.11 a/g, 100BASE-TX, fingerprint security, and a security chip. It costs 240,000 yen. Shipping will begin in mid-November.

The FMV-T8210 is a Tablet PC that features a 12.1" XGA LCD. Its screen can also be turned, giving it the same convertible style. It also has several security features such as a security button with a password that has up to 800,000 permuatations, smart card for storing secure information, and other such security features. It has a Pentium M 740, IEEE 802.11 a/g, 1000BASE-T, fingerprint sensor, security chip, security button, and smart card. The price is 243,000 yen. Shipment begins mid-November.

The TB12/B and TB12/S are models that feature a Pentium M 753 as a CPU, and Intel 915GM Express as a chipset. The screen is transmissive and has a wide viewing angle, making it easy to view in bright places. The PCs feature integrated IEEE 802.11 a/g, 1000BASE-T, fingerprint sensor, security chip, security button, smart card, and so o­n. The price of the TB12/S, which includes a docking station, wireless keyboard, and USB mouse, is 281,800 yen. The TB12/B, which doesn't include any of that, is 219,000 yen. Shipments begin in mid-October.

The TB12/R features a reflective 10.4" XGA LCD, which helps for viewing the screen outdoors. Its specifications are largely the same as other models, and its price is 239,000 yen.
