A new mousepad intended for use with your wireless mouse, by Elecom. It also floats (or so I assume)!

Elecom announced the "MP-090" series of mousepads that use new materials on the 14th, and they are intended to be used with wireless mice. They will be released mid-October for around 1,890 yen.

The MP-090 series are mousepads that use new materials and a new construction, and were developed to be used with wireless mice. With steel and other metal desks, when you use a conventional mousepad on the metal surface, the metal will absorb the electric waves, causing the receiver's condition to worsen. Thus, this product employs styrofoam and a layer of air to insulate, and will prevent the signals from being absorbed by the desk, allowing for proper operation by the mouse.

The mousepad's surface features a special protective layer that works with both optical and wireless mice, and will properly catch the motions of the mouse. Also, the pad features a cable holder to hold the cable of the receiver at the top.

The size is 155 x 185 x 6mm (W x D x H).
