If you're against the iPod and didn't want to get that Neon Genesis Evangelion Edition iPod from a while back, you're in luck -- Chara-Ani has announced an Eva version of Kenwood's "HD20GA7" portable audio player. It comes pre-loaded with all 112 songs from the animated series. More details inside.

Chara-Ani, who has their hands in anime-related products, will release a "Neon Genesis Evangelion Model" based o­n Kenwood's "HD20GA7" hard drive audio player. Production will be limited the those who preorder, and the price is 59,640 yen. Shipping will begin o­n December 24th.

This is an original item offered in collaboration from Kenwood. Ayanami Rei and Souryuu Asuka Langley models will be available, and the body colors are "ASUKA-RED" and "REI-WHITE." Although the Rei is the same white color offered by Kenwood, Asuka's red is an entirely new color "with the 'red' image of the plug suit."

Each model comes with three illustrations pre-loaded that can be used as wallpaper for the LCD screen. They also contain all 112 tracks from the "Neon Genesis Evangelion" TV series and related works.

Preorders will be accepted from August 12th until December 31st. Postal money orders, convenience store, credit card, and COD are available as methods of payment.
