The KX-PX100 from Panasonic is a small photo printer that features an SD slot in order to print pictures immediately after taking them with your camera. It measures a mere 210 x 279 x 100mm, and supports standard photo paper sizes.

Matsushita Electric Works announced the "KX-PX100" home photo printer that can print images without a PC, and will release it on August 26th. It is Open Price.

The KX-PX100 is a thermal dye photo printer that supports printing to K and L size photo paper. It features both SD memory card slot and USB port, and it can print directly from digital cameras (PictBridge print), but can still print from PCs when connected to them.

The dot density is 259 x 259dpi. Using Panasonic's own high precision color engine, the printer can not only create prints that are close to "real" prints, but can automatically correct images with reverse-light problems through the "Vivid Down" dark correction technology.

The printer also supports printing to paper with an overcoat. When making use of paper that features an overcoat that is perhaps light proof of waterproof, the printer can allegedly make prints that "will last 100 years."

The size is 210 x 279 x 94mm (W x D x H), and it weighs about 2kg. Supported operating systems are Windows 98 SE, Me, 2000 Professional, and XP.
