Just in case you've ever felt the urge to record some of your phone calls, Jade Limited has a new solution for you. The "MY LOGGER" system consists of a USB device and software solution allowing for recording of phone calls.

Jade Limited will release their "MY LOGGER" USB device for recording phone calls o­n a PC and their software system, o­n July 20th. The default price is 35,700 yen, but the estimated retail price is around 30,000 yen. Supported operating systems are Windows ME, 2000, and XP.

Generic calls are handled by a PC via USB connection, and audio can be recorded. The USB device itself sits between the phone unit and the receiver, which intercepts audio, pipes it to the PC via USB, thus allowing recording. The unit has play/stop and record buttons, and also features an internal microphone for recording voice memos.

The device operates as a USB sound device o­n the PC end of things, and recorded audio and data can be managed using the included software; even o­n PCs without a sound device, the included earphones allow audio data to be listened to from the MY LOGGER device itself. And since it operates under USB bus power, there is no need for any external power sources.

The application features automatic/manual recording for phone calls, automatic/manual recording for voice memos, play/recording stop, mail forwarding/FTP upload/compression of recorded audio data, and so forth.

The body size is 84 x 73 x 37mm (W x D x H), and it weighs about 140g. A modular cable, receiver signal conversion adapter, USB cable, and earphones are included.
