Our coverage of oddball foldable PC peripherals continues, as Green House introduces their "GH-SPA-215" compact speakers.

Green House Corporation will release the "GH-SPA-215" series of compact, foldable speakers intended for use with portable audio players and PCs in early July. They are Open Price, but estimates indicate they should cost around 3,480 yen.

These are active speakers that can fold up. Each speaker features a reverberation board at its flank, and these can be adjusted freely depending o­n the spread of audio playback desired. Two body colors will be available: white and black.

Connection with a PC or audio player is done by a standard stereo mini jack. The units contain a digital amplifier, where the maximum output is 1.5W x 2ch. A 40mm diamater full range unit is furnished, and it supports playback frequencies from 190Hz to 15kHz.

Power is supplied by an AC adapter, USB bus power, or four AA batteries. When using batteries, the speakers will operate for roughly 40 hours. The external dimensions are 54 x 120 x 94mm (W x D x H), and the weight is 300g (just body).
