E-Lets is offering a new USB fan, which is certainly nothing to write home about. But to make the "useless USB items" even more useless, they're offering an optional "Pimp My Phan" kit that includes a 10,000rpm motor and new blades. Don't ask me why.
E-Lets Corporation will release the "Wind Beam Maybe 2 (AIG-FAN4/U)," a tabletop fan powered by USB, in late June. It is Open Price, but estimates put it at around 1,600 yen.
This is the new version of the "Wind Beam Maybe" released in 2004. In version 2, the motor's rotation speed has gone from 6,000 rpms to 8,000 rpms. Other specifications remain the same as the old model. The support stem is rod style and can be adjusted for height. Also, the head of the fan can be replaced with a light.
The body size is 47 x 98 x 170mm (W x D x H), and it weighs about 74g. The cable is wind-up, and has a length of 230 ~ 900mm. A carrying case is included.
The "Wind Beam Maybe Tune Up Kit (AIG-FAN/OP1)" will also be released at the same time, which features a 10,000rpm motor and DIY blades. Its price is 840 yen.
